Mr. Book just finished Cronkite, by Douglas Brinkley.
This book was published in 2012.
This was an extremely thorough and well-researched biography on Walter Cronkite. It covers all aspects of his career, as well as major stories that he covered and reported on, such as the assassinations of the 1960s, the 1968 convention, his evolution from a hawk to anti-war in Vietnam, his prominence in reporting on the space race, his battles with the Nixon administration, him breaking the news of LBJ’s death and so much more.
I give this book an A.
Goodreads requires grades on a 1-5 star system. In my personal conversion system, an A equates to 5 stars. (A or A+: 5 stars, B+: 4 stars, B: 3 stars, C: 2 stars, D or F: 1 star).
